Transcend Information, Inc. announced its new generation of industrial SSD and memory card solutions powered by advanced 218-layer 3D NAND flash technology. Featuring optimized architecture and increased storage density, the new product lineup unlocks the full potential of next-generation flash memory performance to address the growing demands of AIoT edge computing and smart manufacturing. Designed for data-intensive environments, these solutions empower a wide range of applications across industrial automation, data centers, and intelligent surveillance systems.
High-Performance SSDs for AI and Data-Intensive Workloads
Transcend’s latest family of 218-layer SSDs is engineered to meet the stringent requirements of AI-driven applications. Leading the lineup is the flagship MTE740A, featuring a high-speed PCIe Gen5 x4 interface and NVMe 2.0 compliance. Delivering sequential read speeds of up to 14,000 MB/s and random read performance of up to 2.1 million IOPS, the MTE740A enables rapid processing of massive AI datasets and real-time analytics. To address a broad range of embedded computing needs, Transcend also introduces the MTE770A PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 2280 SSD, the compact MTE490A PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 2242 SSD for space-constrained embedded systems, and the SATA III-based 2.5-inch SSD490K.
The entire SSD series is designed with 218-layer 3D NAND flash memory and offers up to 3,000 program/erase (P/E) cycles. The PCIe SSD series further incorporate advanced reliability technologies, including Corner Bond, anti-sulfur resistors, and 30µ” gold-finger PCBs. In addition, the drives support TCG Opal 2.0 hardware encryption to provide enhanced data security. Beyond standard extended-temperature models (-20°C to 75°C), Transcend also offers wide-temperature versions (-40°C to 75°C / 85°C), ensuring stable performance in harsh environments with extreme temperature fluctuations.
High-Endurance Industrial Memory Cards Designed for Continuous Operation
For edge recording, surveillance, and write-intensive embedded applications, Transcend introduces the SDC470T SD card and USD470T microSD card, both built with 218-layer 3D NAND flash memory. Compliant with the SD 6.1 specification and UHS-I speed class, these cards deliver A2 application performance and V30 video speed ratings. With endurance ratings of up to 1,460 TBW and up to 3,000 P/E cycles, they are designed to support demanding 24/7 workloads. To further enhance reliability, the cards feature Power Shield (PS) technology to help protect data integrity during unexpected power loss, along with an integrated 2K LDPC ECC engine for advanced error correction. Wide-temperature versions supporting operation from -40°C to 85°C are also available, making them ideal storage solutions for in-vehicle systems, intelligent surveillance, and roadside infrastructure deployments.
Intelligent Remote Monitoring with Scope Pro Software
Transcend’s proprietary Scope Pro monitoring software provides enterprise users with intelligent remote monitoring and data analytics capabilities. Featuring wear-out indicators and comprehensive health monitoring functions, Scope Pro enables IT administrators and system integrators to assess the condition and lifespan of SSDs and memory cards in real time. Predictive alerts help identify potential issues before storage devices reach critical wear levels, minimizing unexpected downtime and reducing maintenance costs.
Backed by a three-year limited warranty, Transcend’s industrial storage solutions undergo rigorous testing and validation to ensure exceptional quality, reliability, and long-term performance. Proudly manufactured in Taiwan, Transcend continues to deliver trusted storage solutions for mission-critical industrial applications.
